Turizm Destinasyonlarında Döngüsel Ekonomiye Geçiş: Bozcaada Örneği

Ada destinasyonları, yüksek düzeyde kaynak tüketimi, atık oluşumu ve yaz sezonunun zirve döneminde artan ziyaretçi sayısı nedeniyle önemli baskılarla karşı karşıyadır. Döngüsel ekonomi; kaynak verimliliğinin artırılması, atıkların azaltılması ve yenileyici ekonomik uygulamalar yoluyla sürdürülebilir kalkınmayı destekleyen bir yaklaşım olarak öne çıkmaktadır. Ancak, döngüsel ekonomi ilkelerinin turizm destinasyonu yönetimine entegrasyonu, turizm araştırmaları kapsamında hâlâ yeterince incelenmemiştir. Bu araştırma, Türkiye’de Bozcaada örneği üzerinden döngüsel ekonomi uygulamalarının sürdürülebilir turizm gelişimini nasıl destekleyebileceğini incelemektedir. Çalışma, ada destinasyonlarında sürdürülebilirlik dönüşümlerinin; yönetişim mekanizmaları, paydaş iş birliği ve kaynak yönetimi uygulamaları aracılığıyla nasıl şekillendiğini incelemek amacıyla döngüsel ekonomi teorisi, sürdürülebilir turizm literatürü ve değişim teorisi yaklaşımını bütüncül bir çerçevede bir araya getirmektedir. Çok kaynaklı nitel araştırma deseninde tasarlanan çalışmada ikincil veri kaynakları ve doküman analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Bulgular, turizm destinasyonları içerisindeki döngüsel ekonomi girişimlerinin büyük ölçüde yönetişim koordinasyonuna, paydaş iş birliğine ve yerel yapılarla bütünleşik kaynak yönetimi uygulamalarına dayandığını göstermektedir. Çalışma, turizm destinasyonlarında döngüsel ekonomi dönüşümlerinin analizine yönelik yapılandırılmış bir çerçeve sunarak döngüsel turizm literatürüne katkıda bulunmakta ve sürdürülebilir turizm stratejilerini uygulamayı amaçlayan politika yapıcılar ile destinasyon yöneticilerine pratik çıkarımlar sağlamaktadır.
