REKREASYON ALANLARININ TASARLANMASINDA TEMEL İLKELER, ANKARA EYMİR GÖLÜ ÖRNEĞİ

Abstract

As a result of rapid urbanization and population growth, the demand to the recreational areas at urban fringes is increasing because of the rising needs of open space recreational activities and decreasing the level of open spaces among high density built-up areas. In the scope of this paper, the Eymir Lake which has protected its natural values and stated at the south fringe of Ankara was chosen as study area, and the extent of which level could accepted for conservation and design were discussed. To that end, for defining the user profiles and determining the potentials and constraints of the area a questionnaire was conducted, the outcomes of the survey were analyzed with the suitable methods. Finally, for the conservation and protection of the area and enhancing the quality, some recommendations were proposed.
