THE IMPORTANCE OF SUSTAINABLE TOURISM FOR CITTASLOW: THE CASE STUDY OF SAKARYATARAKLI

Abstract

The 1 Trillion 400 Billion $ valued export volume which the tourism industry constituted worldwide, ensured the tourism activities to obtain an important status economically and strategically. However, within the studies conducted by academicians, some important problems are remarked, on the reflection of economic and cultural effects of tourism activities to the domestic market. The purpose of the research in this manner; is to determine the importance of economic and cultural aspects of the sustainable tourism for Sakarya-Taraklı. Research Method is designated as; Forming content via Qualitative Content Analysis Design which is one of the “Qualitative Design” types (source/literature review) and gathering qualitative data via Qualitative Field Research (observation) and data gathering by Descriptive/Depictive Research Design (survey) which is amongst the types of Quantitative Design. With respect to the outcomes of the research: preventive measures so as to prevent the corruption of historical and cultural structure in Taraklı and projects towards strengthening the economic structure shall be developed.
