ESKİŞEHİR ERİŞİLEBİLİR TURİZME UYGUN MU?

Abstract

Disability affects disabled individuals and their relatives negatively since the beginning of humanity. The problems that disabled individuals face during their daily lives represent the physical, social and psychological development level of the community they live in. Preventing the problems that disabled people face during their daily and touristic activities would affect these factors positively. In this context, this study aims to determine the disabled friendliness level of Eskisehir where is one of the most popular touristic destinations in Turkey recently. Thus, an inspection form was derived from the related literature to evaluate the most visited touristic attractions in Eskişehir. Findings point out that Eskisehir is a disabled-friendly destination and disabled tourists can easily move in and around most of the places during their visit.
