KÜLTÜREL MİRAS TURİZMİ KAYNAKLARININ SÜRDÜRÜLEBİLİRLİĞİ AÇISINDAN BURDUR İLİ’NİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Cultural heritage tourism, which arises from the use of concrete and abstract cultural heritage resources for touristic purposes, has a significant impact on the development of local people living in rural areas. In order to realize this situation effectively, cultural heritage resources should be identified and brought to light and transferred to future generations within the framework of sustainable tourism philosophy. In this respect, the aim of this study is to determine the cultural heritage tourism resources of Burdur province and to determine whether the sustainable use of the resources is realized. The lack of a similar study on the region and filling the lack of literature in this respect makes the research important. Qualitative research method was used in accordance with the structure of the research. In the data collection, a case study involving document analysis and observation methods was conducted. As a result of the interpreted findings, it is revealed that the region is a source of concrete and abstract cultural heritage tourism which can be used for touristic purposes. However, it was concluded that the resources other than Sagalassos and Kbyra ancient cities, could not be used effectively and efficiently in part as a tourism product in terms of sustainable tourism philosophy.
