Bir Yapay Zekâ Destekli Dil Modeli Olan ChatGPT’nin Turizm Sektöründe Potansiyel ve Hayata Geçen Uygulamaları

Turizm sektöründe bulunan işletmeler, müşteri hizmetini iyileştirmek, deneyimlerini geliştirmek ve süreçleri kolaylaştırmak için her zaman teknolojik gelişmeleri benimsemiştir. Son dönemde sektörde kuralları değiştirecek yeni teknolojilerden biri de yapay zekâ destekli bir dil modeli olan ChatGPT'nin entegrasyonudur. ChatGPT, turistlerin turizm işletmeleriyle etkileşim biçimini temelden değiştirme potansiyeline sahiptir. Kişiselleştirilmiş önerilerden anında müşteri desteğine kadar çok yönlü yetenekleri bulunan ChatGPT’nin turizm endüstrisinde önemli bir konumda olacağı düşünülmektedir. Çalışmada turizm işletmelerinde ChatGPT’nin potansiyel ve hayata geçen uygulamaları taranmış ve bu teknolojinin turizm sektörü bağlamında uygulamalarının hangi aşamada olduğu tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu amaçla çalışmada doküman analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Doküman incelemesinde 2023 yılı Mayıs-Ağustos ayları içerisinde gerçekleştirilmiş ve arama motorlarından ChatGPT ve turizm terimlerinin aratılarak elde edilen web sayfalarına ve bu terimlerin bulunduğu akademik çalışmalara ulaşılmıştır. Literatür taramasından elde edilen veriler ışığında ChatGPT teknolojisinin seyahat planlama, otel seçimi, müşteri iletişimi ve kişiye özel hizmet, içerik oluşturma, konsiyerj hizmeti alma, menü planlama ve tarif geliştirme, veri toplama, veri özetleme, veri analizi, SEO hizmeti başlıkları altında potansiyel uygulama alanlarının bulunduğu görülmüştür. Hayata geçen uygulamalara bakıldığında ise hemen hemen tüm potansiyel görülen alanlarda örneklere rastlanmıştır. Özellikle yapay zekâ destekli dil modelinin geliştirilebilir olması, bu teknolojinin ilerleyen zamanlarda yeni eklentilerle farklı turizm süreçlerine dahil olacağı düşünülmektedir.
