One of the important stakeholders of the tourism sector is the local people. Tourism activities carried out in cooperation with local people and tourists ensure the development of destinations. Tourism services are provided in a better quality than the employment opportunities provided by local people from tourism. Is intertwined with the local population of tourism in Marmaris is one of Turkey's tourism centers. As a result of its natural and cultural features, many different types of tourism are available in Marmaris. Marmaris is not only dependent on sea, sand and sun tourism but also has started to host various tourism types such as culture, yacht and gastronomy. In this study, a questionnaire, one of the quantitative data collection methods, was used to determine the views and thoughts of the local people living in Marmaris. The research was carried out in a face-to-face manner through easy sampling. A total of 354 people were employed. When the findings were evaluated, it was found that local people had different opinions about Marmaris tourism. Most of the participants were male, born out of Marmaris, self-employed, high school and university graduates. Of the demographic data, only the age variable was used as an expression affecting the views towards Marmaris tourism. It is envisaged to conduct research in different destinations for future studies. The fact that the local people have sufficient information about tourism confirmed the results of different studies related to the subject. It is possible to conduct different studies with the tourists visiting Marmaris by adapting the scale of the research.
