BALIKESİR İLİ BİGADİÇ İLÇESİNİN KIRSAL TURİZM POTANSİYELİNİN SWOT ANALİZİ YÖNTEMİ İLE DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract

Tourism demand in our country is in a significant increase due to the effects of socio- economic changes. It is very important to develope alternative tourism varieties in order to be able to respond this demand and to provide more benefits than tourism. One of these varieties of tourism is rural tourisim which provides direct effect to the rural development. In this studying, Bigadiç district of Balıkesir province, which is important in terms of rural tourism in Turkey, was tackled. In adition to having the world’s most important boron deposits, Bigadiç has also increased its momentum in agriculture, animal husbandry and industrialization in recent years and has an important potential in terms of thermal tourism. In order to determine the rural tourism potential of the Bigadiç district was evaluated.
