Coğrafi İşaretli Ürünlerin Gastronomi Kapsamında Değerlendirilmesi: Mersin İli Örneği

This study has been prepared for the purpose of evaluating the products registered with geographical indication in Mersin province within the scope of gastronomic tourism. For this purpose, secondary data were used by using document scanning method. The data were generally obtained from the Turkish Patent Institute official website. Descriptive analysis was used in the analysis of the data obtained. According to the research, it was determined that there are 11 products registered in the province of Mersin with geographical indication and 6 products in the application phase. The products in the application stage are visualized with the information about the process through the tables. Each of the registered products are explained in the findings section based on their unique features. Thus, it was tried to draw attention to the necessity to evaluate the determined products in terms of gastronomy tourism in Mersin.
