Abstract

The tourism sector has been located among sectors showing significant improvement recently. Service quality in the tourism business has become more important position due to the increased expectations of individuals who involved in tourism activities. Practicum internship training has become a critical requirement for tourism students due to lack of sufficient theoretical training. Professional tourism training consists of formal education, non-formal education and in-service trainings. Internship training of tourism students are of great importance in terms of the student's future and of increasing quality of service of business tourism. In this study, have been tried to reveal that views on internship of associate and undergraduate students who are situated in the tourism department, during internship, experienced problems and results by using various hypotheses also which are provided by internship. As a result, it has emerged that doing internship in tourism that requires great patience, received theoretical training extremely is useful in internship and doing internship in tourism develops people in every aspect. In addition, the ratio of students who found internship wages insufficient has been higher. "There are significant differences according to gender in internship perception of tourism students" hypothesis was accepted.
