Abstract

The necessity for managing the emotions in the tourism sector has come out for the reason that the tourism sector which has a labour- intensitive feature and it is quite important to provide the customer satisfaction. The aim of this study is to examine the relation between the organizational climate that the employees perceive and their emotional labour attitudes. Accordingly, in addition to the sub-dimensions of the organizational climate which are the support of management, the autonomy and the independence, the challenging performance, the role ambiguity, the subdimensions of the emotional labour which are emotional contradiction and the emotional effort have been handled. The population of the research is composed of the tourism businesses in Antalya. The research has been carried out on the employees that are selected by the random sampling method from the population. In the data analysis, the correlation and regression methods are used. The analysis results show that there is a positive relation between the organizational climate perceived by the employees and the emotional labour behaviors.
