Increasingly competitive conditions in hotel businesses have led business managers to resist these conditions and to strategic thinking. The strategy is to be able to offer much different benefits to a customer compared to competitors. The aim of this research is to examine the perspectives of middle and upper level hotel managers on strategic thinking. Qualitative research has been conducted for this purpose. Within the scope of the research, the perspectives of the managers of 4 and 5 star hotels around Ataturk Airport on strategic thinking were evaluated. Interview technique was used as data collection tool in the research and 11 managers from 8 hotels operating around the airport were interviewed. Strategic thinking, from the point of view of the hotel managers, includes elements of change, innovation and risk taking as well as maintaining the current situation.
