TURİST REHBERLERİ BAKIŞ AÇISIYLA EKOTURİZM: ALGI, SORUMLULUK VE ROLLERİN TESPİTİNE YÖNELİK BİR ARAŞTIRMA

Abstract

Ecotourism is fastly increasing in tourism industry and this increasing brings some responsibilities to tourism shares. Protecting the natural areas gains benefits to us. Tour Guides are also crucial actor in tourism with this responsibilities. This study aims to explore tour guides‟ perceptions of their role and responsibilities and attitudes for ecotourism. As a research method, Survey method, being One of the quantitative research method is applied to tour guides. According to results; perceptions of tourist guides about the natural environment and their perceptions of their role and responsibilities in nature tours are high. There was a significant difference between visitor awareness, narrative content, dimensions towards natural environment and gender and working style. Furthermore, a positive relationship was found between the general attitude scale for the environment and the sub-factors related to the duties and responsibilities of the tourist guides in the eco-tours.
