Leisure time, which holds an important place in family life, offers opportunities for family members to come together through fun activities, interact, strengthen their communication, and learn new things. The process of utilizing leisure time involves sharing among family members; research has focused on the many positive effects this has, such as families forming deep connections with each other, solving problems, and strengthening their relationships. This study examines family leisure, specifically the time parents and children spend together during free time or recreational activities. Studies on family leisure time in Turkey have been reviewed with the aim of contributing to future research. The study has explained the relationship between family and leisure time and the concept of family leisure, assessing its status in the literature. The goal is to find out how contributions can be made to the topic of "Family Leisure" in Turkey and to make a situational analysis in this field. The studies reached as a result of this review have been listed through a systematic review method and evaluated in terms of their relevance to the topic. Additionally, some practical applications reflecting on family behavior within the context of changing family leisure behaviors and recreational activities due to COVID-19 have also been mentioned under various headings.
